KEY MOMENT

  • Gouws collected the ball and raced down the sideline on a 2-on-0 with Olivia Clarke. She carried the ball at the goalie and slotted it into the right corner for the game-winning goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Gouws got the Bulldogs on the board just over 11 minutes in, firing home a loose ball from the right side. The Bilikens would tie the game on a goal from Josefina Perez.

Gouws put Bryant ahead again, scoring off a feed from Natalie Griffin. Griffin slid the ball across the front of the goal and Gouws tapped it home. Once again, the Bilikens were able to tie it as Shaya Dry scored on a breakaway with just under three minutes remaining in regulation.

In overtime, Bryant had several opportunities before finally cashing in. Gouws was able to end the game with a perfectly placed shot into the back of the net.
