Bryant faces Albany, Queens this weekend

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University field hockey team wraps up the regular season with games against No. 17 UAlbany and Queens (N.C.) this weekend.  

Bryant closes America East play at UAlbany on Friday before hosting Queens on Senior Day Saturday.

Bryant vs. Albany

• UAlbany has won all six meetings between the two programs. 
• The Great Danes earned a 1-0 win in the last meeting in 2019.

Bryant vs. Queens

• Bryant and Queens are meeting for the first time in program history. 
• Queens is currently in the process of transitioning from DII to DI.

• Bryant enters the final weekend of the season with an overall record of 4-13. 
• Brittany Gouws has a team-high 20 points on 7 goals and 6 assists. 
• Lotte Guitink is second on the team with 16 points (7g, 2a).
• Olivia Clarke has chipped in five goals and three assists for 15 points.
• Clarke also leads the team with two game-winning goals. 
• Bryant will honor its six seniors on Saturday; Taryn Rauff, Grayson Green, Ellie Morrison, Sydney Swain, Phoebe Johnson and Brittany Gouws. 

Scouting the Great Danes

• UAlbany enters Friday ranked No. 17 nationally. UAlbany is 12-4 on the year and 5-2 in the America East. 
• Alison Smisdom leads the team with 14 goals and 7 assists for 35 points.  

Scouting the Royals

• Queens is 0-12 in its first season at the Division I level. 
• Sydney Smith and Caroline Powell both have two goals.
