Bryant welcomes UNH to Chace Athletic Center on Saturday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team welcomes the University of New Hampshire to the Chace Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon. Tip is set for 1:02 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant and New Hampshire are meeting for the second time this season and for the 12th time overall. The Bulldogs own a 7-4 lead in the series following an 87-81 win in Durham in January. Sherif Gross-Bullock led the Black and Gold with 28 points, while Antwan Walker chipped in 19.

WELCOME TO THE AMERICA EAST
Bryant is 5-4 in America East play this season. The Bulldogs are 4-1 at home and 1-3 on the road in league play. Bryant has seven games remaining in the league slate.   

PRIDE REACHES 700 REBOUNDS
Charles Pride surpassed 700 career rebounds on Wednesday vs Maine. He joins Alex Francis and Dan Garvin as the only players in DI program history to accomplish the feat. Pride is just six rebounds shy of tying Garvin for second.

Earl Timberlake had one of his most complete games of the year on Wednesday, finishing with 18 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. The 14 rebounds were a career-high, while his sixth double-double of the year tied him with Antwan Walker for the team lead. 

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Bryant is 14-8 overall and 5-4 in league play following a 71-53 win over Maine on Wednesday. The 53 points are the fewest allowed by the Bulldogs this season.     
  2. Sherif Gross-Bullock leads all America East players with 17.0 ppg overall and 18.5 ppg in AE-only games. He has produced three 20-point outings in eight league games. SGB finished with 16 on Wednesday.
  3. Earl Timberlake ranks 8th in the America East in scoring and third in rebounding entering Saturday. He has double-digit points in 16 of the 20 games he's played in.    
  4. Pride enters Saturday with 1,444 career points, 56 shy of becoming just the fourth player in DI program history and the 11th in school history to reach 1,500 career points.   
  5. Bryant is now 8-2 at home this season and 32-4 at home since the start of the 2020-21 season.
