SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team makes a midweek trip to Fairfield, facing the Stags on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Fairfield has won four of the five meetings between the two teams. Four of the five meetings have been played in the single digits, with Fairfield's 12-11 overtime victory in 2019 marking the only game to go to double digits. The Bulldogs only win in the series came in 2011, 6-5.   

SCOUTING FAIRFIELD
Fairfield is 2-3 overall following a 17-10 loss to Providence on Saturday. Fairfield's starting attack boasts a trio of Stags on prolific scoring streaks. Bryce Ford has notched a point in all 22 games he has played in his career dating back to 2020, while Max Paparozzi's hat trick on Saturday at Providence ran his streak to 20 straight games with a point and 16 straight with a goal.
 
Jack McKenna's three-goal outing on Saturday moved his streak to 19 straight - every game of his career - with a goal. He has scored multiple goals in 18 of those contests.

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs are 3-1 on the year after a 15-12 win against Manhattan on Saturday.
  • Bryant's 3-1 start matches the 2021 team for the best start in the last five years.  
  • The Black and Gold are one of only two teams (Virginia) in the country to score at least 15 goals in every game this season. Bryant has scored 15+ in four-straight games for the first time in DI program history.
  • Jack Lonsinger and Johnny Hackett rank 1-2 in the country for freshmen scoring. They are both averaging over 3.00 goals per game, with Lonsinger potting 15 and Hackett 13.
  • Kevin Groeninger leads the team with 18 points (7g, 11a). 
  • Aidan Goltz has posted 11 goals and three assists in four games.
  • Timmy Hackett has posted a point in 10-straight games dating back to last year.
