Key Moment

How it Happened

  • Ryan Dobrzynski opened the scoring for Bryant, finishing off his second goal of the season with a crease roll.
  • Johnny Hackett used his speed to set up Bryant's second marker as he raced in from midfield before feeding McMahon for the finish.
  • McMahon's marker was the first of four-straight goals to give Bryant a 5-1 lead. Groeninger and Lonsinger each potted one before Alexander intercepted a pass and raced down the field for the goal.
  • Fairfield stormed back in the second quarter, scoring five goals in a 2:30 stretch to take a 6-5 lead.
  • Goltz stopped the run with a rip from the top and Timmy Hackett gave Bryant the lead back with a sneaky finish on a crease roll.
  • Groeninger made it an 8-6 game at the half as he scored a brilliant goal with 11 seconds left. He was able to corral the ball in front of the crease and then dove through two defenders to finish while staying outside of the crease area.
  • Bryant then scored the first four of the third quarter to take a 12-6 lead. The first goal was special as Teagan Alexander made the save and then started the break with a long bounce pass to his twin Tanner. Alexander then fed Lucas who was able to fire it home in transition.
  • Lonsinger completed his hat trick, beating the goalie five hole before finishing a perfect feed from Timmy Hackett on the top of the crease. McMahon's second goal of the game was the fourth goal of the run.
  • Fairfield again answered, scoring the next five to make it 12-11 with 8:11 left in the game.
  • Bryant answered as Goltz dodged on the right before finding Lonsinger on the top of the crease for the goal.
  • Goltz then made it 14-11 as he took a feed up top from Lonsinger and deposited it in the back of the cage for a man-up goal.
  • The Stags would get to 14-12 but the Bulldogs' defense was able to withstand and hold the lead.
