Bryant to battle BU in Friday afternoon showdown

SMITHFIELD, R.I. –  The Bryant University men's lacrosse team travels to Boston to face the No. 15 Terriers on Friday afternoon. Faceoff is set for 4:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Boston University owns a 5-1 lead in the all-time Division I series. The Bulldogs last and only victory against the Terriers came on February 18th, 2020 when Bryant won 15-10. The Black and Gold will also be looking to pick up their first road win in program history at BU as they are currently 0-3 as visitors .     

SCOUTING BU
The Terriers have started off their season 2-0, earning decisive victories over Saint Joseph's and Vermont. Graduate student Vince D'Alto currently leads the team in goals with 10 on the year. Junior Will Barnes is the team's starting goalkeeper. Through two games he has allowed 18 goals and made 18 saves.

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • A win against BU would give the Black and Gold their first win vs a ranked opponent since 2021(Bryant 16, #19 Saint Joseph's 10 — May. 8, 2021).

  • A win on Friday would also give Bryant their first 2-0 start since 2011.

  • The Bulldogs had two players record hat tricks in their season opener. Kevin Groeninger posted 4 goals while Jack Lonsinger scored 3 goals and also recorded an assist.

  • Teagan Alexander made 8 saves for Bryant in its season opening victory.

  • Nathan Laliberte won 19-of-30 faceoffs in Bryant's victory over PC.

  • Freshman Patrick Walsh picked up his first collegiate goal in last Saturday's victory.
