Bryant welcomes Quinnipiac for Men's Lacrosse Home Opener

SMITHFIELD, R.I. –  The Bryant University men's lacrosse team will host the 2-0 Quinnipiac Bobcats for their home opener. Faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant leads the the all-time Division I series 5-1. They have won their last four meetings. In their last meeting, the Bulldogs picked up a 19-12 win in Hampden.   

SCOUTING BOBCATS
Quinnipiac has started off their season 2-0 after picking up wins against St. John's and Brown.Ryan Donnery leads the team in goals this season with 6. Max Pauwels leads the team in ground balls with 12. Mason Oak is the team's starting goalkeeper. Through two games this season, he has made 19 saves and has allowed 18 goals.

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • Bryant ranks first in the nation in faceoff win percentage .714.

  • Bryant will be looking to extend their win streak against the Bobcats to five games.

  • The Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back games playing nationally ranked opponents.

  • Nathan Laliberte ranks first in the nation in ground balls per game and third in nation in faceoff win percentage. On Tuesday, he became the first Bulldog player to win 20 or more faceoffs in a single game in two seasons.

  • Johnny Hackett and Jack Lonsinger in their last game against Harvard. Lonsinger has recorded three goals in all three games this season.

  • Teagan Alexander made 15 saves for Bryant against the Crimson.
