Bryant falls to Quinnipiac in home opener

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team got off to a fast start, but it would be Quinnipiac who would take the victory on Saturday by a final score of 13-10 in the Bulldogs home opener.

John Tomsheck recorded his first career hat trick and Jack Lonsinger potted a pair of goals in the match.

Nathan Laliberte continued his prominent play at the X winning 19-27 faceoffs and collecting 12 ground balls. Drew Lucas put together a solid outing as well; causing three turnovers.

How it Happened

  • Bryant got the scoring started early when Johnny Hackett netted an unassisted goal to put the Bulldogs up 1-0.

  • After another Bryant score, Quinnipiac would get on the board when Trevor Douglas would go on to score consecutive goals to narrow Bryant's lead to one.
