Bulldogs fall in double OT at Saint Peter's Fri.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Just over two minutes into the second overtime, Saint Peter's found the back of the net ending a scoreless tie to hand the Bryant University men's soccer team a 1-0 loss Friday afternoon in Jersey City, N.J.

Louis Mobbs notched his first goal of the year off assists from Marcel Maddee and Michael Broncati, lifting the Peacocks to the 1-0 victory.

In the 106 minute saga, the Black and Gold outshot Saint Peter's, 10-9, while each team earned six corners (four in the second half for Bryant) in the match. Sophomore goalkeeper Chris Knaub (Yarmouth, Maine) stopped four shots in his eighth start of the year while Saint Peter's Carlos Suarez made six saves in his first win of the season.

The Bulldogs will close out non-conference action on Sunday when they welcome NJIT to Smithfield for a 1 p.m. start time. Bryant starts Northeast Conference play on Friday, Oct. 11 at Robert Morris.
