Bulldogs travel to Kingston to take on Rams Friday night at 7 p.m.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's soccer team takes on the University of Rhode Island Friday night in Kingston at 7 p.m.

This match marks the sixth time that the Bulldogs (0-1) and the Rams (1-1) have met in regular-season play and the Black and Gold are looking for their first win (0-3-2). The teams played to a double-overtime 1-1 draw last season.

In similar fashion, the Bulldogs went into overtime in their latest match against then-No. 7 Providence College, falling short, 2-1, after a penalty kick in extra time left the Friars on top.

Starting senior goalie Chris Knaub (Yarmouth, Maine) finished the game with two saves off four Providence attempts.

Senior forward Brett Larocque (Ottawa, Ont.) scored Bryant's lone goal and totaled two shots on the night. Forward Thomas Binder (Vienna, Austria) provided the assist to Larocque while also tallying a shot.

Junior Curtis Orth (Ancaster, Ont.) leads the Bulldogs with four attempts, placing three on goal, on the season. Senior Marco Addonizio (Lynnfield, Mass.) has contributed one shot to the Bulldog total (8), placing it on goal against PC.

In two games, the Rams have logged 25 shots, placing 10 on goal, led by midfielder Dante Lamb with five. Defender Adam Camillo and midfielder Carlo Davids each notched one URI's two goals on the season in the 2-0 victory over Drexel. Starting goalkeeper Nils Leifhelm scooped up two saves on the game and totals eight on the season.

The Rams fell to University at Albany in their latest matchup, 1-0.

Friday's game kicks off at 7 p.m. at the URI Soccer Complex in Kingston, and fans can follow along with live stats at bryantbulldogs.com.
