Bulldogs compete in Terrier Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – It will be a long weekend for the Bryant University men's swimming team as it heads to Boston, Mass., on Friday, Nov. 18, to compete in the three-day Terrier Invitational hosted by Boston University.

The Bulldogs (3-2), coming off back-to-back wins over Providence College and Niagara University last week, will be one of several teams competing at the invitational. The Black and Gold have continued to improve over the first month of the season as 11 different swimmers set season best last Saturday against Niagara. One of the swimmers making the most waves might be senior Brendan Heller (Naugatuck, Conn.). The co-captain has cut nearly 10 seconds off his 500 free, finishing with a time of 5:29.28 against the Purple Eagles. Fellow captain Alex Kosenski (Lavallette, N.J.) has yet to lose an individual event this year, sitting a perfect 8-for-8 through three meets.

Following this weekend, the Black and Gold will be off until they head to Kingston, R.I., on Dec. 2-3 to compete in the URI Invitational. That is also the final competition of the first semester for the Bulldogs.
