Men's swim & dive wraps up competition at Gompei Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's swimming and diving team wrapped up competition in the Gompei Invitational with more strong performances on Sunday in Worcester.

The Bulldogs finished the three-day meet with 3,969.5 points, good enough for fourth. WPI won the 13-team meet with a score of 5,136.5 points.

Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam) and Colin Curtin (Wethersfield, Conn.) wrapped up strong weekends for the Bulldogs. Schulte finished 9th in the 200 breast (2:10.14) and 13th in the 100 back (54.53). Curtin picked up a fifth-place finish in the 100 back (52.50) and also swam the anchor leg of the 400 free relay that finished fourth.

Bryant's divers also wrapped up a strong weekend with two more outstanding performances. Kevin Sullivan (East Lyme, Conn.) and Zach Vogel (South Easton, Mass.) finished 3-4 in the 3-meter dive. Sullivan scored 435.95 points and Vogel posted 366.25 points.
