Kuhar set to compete in Oracle ITA Masters
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – For the second-straight year, Bryant University men's tennis redshirt senior Matt Kuhar (Smithfield, R.I.) will compete in the Oracle ITA Masters Tournament in Malibu, Calif.
About the Oracle ITA Masters
- The men's draw features 32 players representing nearly every conference across the country.
- It is considered one of the premier events on the collegiate tennis calendar.
- Play gets underway on Thursday Sept. 20 with mixed doubles and singles play.
- Competition will take place at Pepperdine University and the Malibu Racquet Club.
About Matt Kuhar
- Kuhar is back for his fifth and final year with the Black and Gold.
- Named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year in 2014-15.
- Missed the 2015-16 season with an injury.
- Named the NEC Player of the Year and won the Bulldogs' first-ever set in an NCAA Tournament match in 2016-17.
- Repeated as the NEC Player of the Year and became the first tennis player to earn a national ranking in program history in 2017-18.
- Kuhar has posted 63 career singles victories and was ranked No. 4 in the region at the end of last year.
