Bryant travels to Hartford for Nor'easter Invitational

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bryant University softball team will travel to West Hartford to take on the Boston University Terriers and the University of Hartford Hawks in the Nor'easter Invitational. The Bulldogs and Terriers are slated to meet on Saturday, while the Bryant takes on the Hawks for two games on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY

  • Bryant and Boston University have met 10 times, with Boston U holding the 6-4 advantage in the all-time series. The teams last met on March 23 of last year, when the Bulldogs topped the Terriers, 4-2. This game will serve as one of the makeup games for a postponed doubleheader last week.

  • In the circle, redshirt junior Logan Paul (Shaker Heights, Ohio) owns a 3-1 record.
  • Freshman pitcher Sarah McKeveny (Bohemia, N.Y.) leads the Bryant pitching staff with 25 strikeouts. She tied her career-high in strikeouts against top-ranked Washington, fanning six batters.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS

  • Boston University heads into the Nor'easter Invitational with a 10-14 record. The Terriers last played in the St. John's Invitational last weekend, going 2-2 in the four games played.
  • Alex Heinen leads BU with a .346 average. She has a home run and 18 RBI this season.
  • Ali Dubois anchors the Terrier pitching staff. She leads BU with 62.1 innings and has a 2.70 ERA with a 5-4 record.
  • Hartford enters the Nor'easter Invitational with a 5-5 overall record. The Hawks have not played since March 6, when they played a doubleheader against Manhattan.
