Bulldogs compete at New Englands
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's and women's track and field teams continue their outstanding outdoor seasons with a strong performance at the New England Championships held at Westfield State.
The Bulldogs sent four women and six men to compete at New Englands. Southern Connecticut won its second-straight title on the men's side, while Rhode Island won its third-straight women's title.
Bulldog Highlights
Nicholas Douglas (Shelton, Conn.) finished 24th in the prelims with a time of 50.54 in the 400m dash.
Christopher Chapruet (Danvers, Mass.) ran a time of 15:41.13 in the 5000.
Adam Malone (Speonk, N.Y.) finished 10th in the triple jump with a distance of 13.83m.
Brian Sullivan (Hingham, Mass.) recorded a discus throw of 42.64m, finishing 14th.
Nick Todman (Danbury, Conn.) finished 17th in the hammer with a throw of 49.47m.
Joseph Schwab finished 12th in the javelin with a distance of 54.56m.
Kristen Hayes (Menands, N.Y.) finished 15th in the 400m dash with a time of 58.17.
Brooke Tomasetti (Waterford, Conn.) finished 16th in the 800 with a time of 2:17.06.
Annmarie Tuxbury (New Hartford, Conn.) finished 12th in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:15.40.
Katelyn Kelleher (Wrentham, Mass.) finished 19th in the hammer with a distance of 45.29m.
