Bulldogs Complete Strong Weekend at Bucknell
LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bryant track and field teams completed a solid weekend at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic, breaking three school records, setting 16 NEICAAA qualifying marks, and winning one event overall in the two-day event.
John Bruder claimed the Bulldogs' lone event win, taking first in a field of 45 shot putters. Jasmine Hope had a big weekend as well, setting a new school record in the 100 meters and taking top-eight finishes in the 100 and long jump. Mike Marshall, Jr. and Emma Garrity also came away with top-ten and school record performances.

Bruder threw 17.53 meters to win the shot put, 0.17 off his personal best and school record. He still holds the top mark in the America East at 17.70 meters.

Hope broke her own school record in the 100 meters, crossing the line at 11.93 seconds to finish eighth out of a field of 91. She also placed fourth in the long jump at 5.70 meters.

Marshall also broke his own school record in the high jump, clearing the two-meter mark for the first time. His 2.01 meter best was good for a fifth place finish.

Garrity placed ninth out of 167 runners in the 800 meters, setting a school record time of 2:11.31.

Aidan Hickey placed 10th out of 195 runners in the 800 meters, finishing with a time of 1:51.40.

Grace Yost placed fifth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.04.

Savannah Pineda placed tenth in the 400 meters with a time of 56.73.

Kasey Thomas placed sixth in the shot put with a top mark of 13.96 meters.

The women's 4x800 team of Garrity, Marissa Crowley, Kayla Ondy, and Abby Hamilton placed fourth with a time of 9:24.23.
What's next: The Bulldogs will be back in action this weekend at UMass Lowell for the George Davis Invitational.
