Bulldogs face FDU in NJ on ESPN+

TEANECK, N.J. - The Bryant University women's basketball team heads to New Jersey to face Fairleigh Dickinson for a Saturday afternoon Northeast Conference matchup.

THE SERIES
The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 17-9 against the Knights and are 7-5 in New Jersey. Brooke Bjelko recorded 32 points in the 69-57 victory for the Black and Gold earlier this season at the Chace Athletic Center. Fatou Jallow posted 16 points in the win.

The Knights come into Saturday's matchup with a 15-9 overall record and 12-2 in the conference. FDU is currently in first place in the NEC and won their most recent matchup against Merrimack by a score of 55-49. Aniya Bell led the team in scoring with 17 points. FDU leads the conference in scoring defense, allowing 57.6 ppg.

WHAT TO KNOW

  • Nicole Gallagher posted her eighth double-figure scoring figure game of the year against CCSU. Galagher has also shot 7-12 from three in her last two games. 
  • Fatou Jallow has recorded a steal in the last six games and 14 total. She is averaging 1.4 steals per game and has 34 steals, which is one shy of her career-high.
  • Brooke Bjelko recorded 17 points against CCSU. This was the 11th time this season that Bjelko has led the Bulldogs in scoring. She currently leads the NEC in total points with 333.
  • Alana Perkins, Jallow, and Gallagher have combined to make 15 three-pointers in the last two games.
  • All of the Black and Golds victories have come when holding their opponent to under 70 points on the defensive end.
