Bulldogs square off with FIU in Miami on Friday

MIAMI, FLA. - The Bryant University women's basketball team plays the hosting Panthers of the FIU Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament on Friday, with tip-off at noon.

This is the second-ever matchup between the two teams and the first since 2009. FIU defeated Bryant 68-60 on 12/28/09.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
FIU heads into the matchup with a 2-2 record. Mya Kone leads the way for the Panthers, averaging 11.3 ppg. Kone is also averaging 7.5 RPG and has not missed from the FT line this season (14-14).

• Mariona Planes Fortuny tallied 22 points against Merrimack. This is the 13th 20-point game of her career and the 39th double-digit scoring game. Fortuny is averaging 16.2 ppg.
• Martina Boba has made her presence known defensively, as she has tallied a steal in all but one game.
• The Bulldogs are shooting 45% from the field as a team, which leads the America East.
