Bulldogs Host UMass Lowell Saturday Afternoon

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's lacrosse team will play their first America East home game this Saturday when they host UMass Lowell at 1:00 pm at Beirne Stadium. The Bulldogs are on a two-game losing streak, having dropped to Vermont and Brown.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Kenna Kaut, Skylar Simmonds, and Emily Oliver each recorded hat tricks in Tuesday's loss to Brown. They are the team's three leading scorers and all rank in the top six in America East in points per game.

  • Kaut's final goal against Brown was the 100th of her career, making her the eighth player in D-I program history to reach the century mark.

  • Chamberlaine Bell dished a pair of assists on Tuesday, increasing her career total to 61. She is four shy of fourth in Bryant history.

  • Simmonds now has 88 career goals, 12 away from joining Kaut in the 100-goal club.

Scouting the River Hawks

  • UML fell to New Hampshire 15-11 to open America East play last weekend. The River Hawks went 5-3 in non-conference action, including a win over Holy Cross and loss to Merrimack.

  • Player to Watch: Sophomore attack Jade Catlin leads the River Hawks with 32 points and 13 assists. Her 19 goals are second most on the team.

  • Bryant is 5-1 all-time in the series with wins in each of the last three meetings. The Bulldogs came out victorious last year in Smithfield, as a Kenna Kaut hat trick led to an 11-9 win.
