Bulldogs visit Brown Wednesday at 7 pm

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Looking to snap a two-game skid, the Bryant University women's soccer team will close out non-conference play at Brown Wednesday night (7 p.m.) in Providence, R.I.

On Thursday, the Bulldogs fell in the 83rd minute at UMass, falling to 4-6 overall on the year. Despite a career-high seven saves from freshman goalkeeper Kaylan Conrad (Avon, Conn.), the Black and Gold could not find the back of the net, dropping their fourth one-goal match of the season.

Through 10 games this season, forward Suzanne Sanders (West Chester, Pa.) leads Bryant with six points on a trio of scores (eight games played). Seniors Shana Follette (Plymouth, Mass.) and Ari Goldberg (East Bridgewater, Mass.) and sophomore Rachael Ivanicki (Colts Neck, N.J.) sit just below her, tied with four points apiece.

The Bears enter Wednesday's action boasting a 5-2 overall mark, 1-0 in the Ivy League coming off a 1-0 win over Dartmouth on Sunday. Junior forward Chloe Cross leads Brown with seven points on three goals and an assists while senior Mika Siegelman ranks second with three points (1g, 1a). In goal, MC Barrett and Amber Bledsoe have each appeared in all seven games for the Bears, combing for a 1.13 goals against average and a.789 save percentage.

This will mark the first meeting between the two schools since Bryant's first year of Division I competition in 2008. Nearly five years ago, the intrastate foes battled to a 3-3 tie thanks to a late goal by Brown.

Bryant will look to kick-start an October push with a big road win at Brown on Wednesday.
