Bulldogs battle Minutewomen and Hawks on the road Thursday and Saturday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's soccer team continues its series of games on the road, taking on UMass Amherst Thursday at 4 p.m and Hartford on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Bulldogs (1-4) are coming off a road win against Fairfield (Sept. 6), while the Minutewomen (0-3-2) are still in search of their first victory of the 2015 season. The Hawks, on the other hand, are off to a 3-1 start.

The Black and Gold netted three goals in their latest matchup, adding to their total of five on the season. The Bulldog attack has been a team effort, with four different players finding the back of the net.

Sophomore forward Haley Reddish (Natick, Mass.) leads the Bulldogs in offensive production, rattling off 10 shots total and five on goal.

Junior midfielder Hannah Crofut (East Amherst, N.Y.) joins Reddish with five attempts on net off seven tries overall.

Head Coach Andy Biggs is still keeping things unpredictable in net, playing both junior keeper Kaylan Conrad (Avon, Conn.) and sophomore Rachel Brightman (Rochester, N.Y.).

Brightman played all 90 minutes against Fairfield and saw time in three other matchups, tallying 10 saves in the allotted time. Conrad has played nearly 310 minutes on the season, recording 21 saves in four starts for the Black and Gold.

The Minutewomen have scored one goal in the first five games, while allowing nine from the opposition. In other fields of production, UMass falls nearly equivalent with its competitors, totaling 60 attempts, 20 saves and 18 corner kicks.

Sophomore Gabriela Kenyon has manufactured four shots and recorded the Minutewomen's lone goal against Central Connecticut (Sept. 4).

Junior forward Megan Burke leads UMass with ten shots in five games, while keepers Cassidy Babin and Danielle Kriscenski have prevented 20 attempts.

Hartford has outscored their opponents, 11-2, led by junior Aaliyah Ingram with five. Ingram has 12 points off five scores and two assists. Hawks' midfielder Julia Carr has also produced offensively, totaling seven points off three goals and one assist.

Junior Jessica Jurg has started all four games in net for Hartford, acquiring eight saves.
