Crusaders host Bulldogs Tuesday night for a 7:05 kick off

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's soccer team travels to Worcester to take on Holy Cross on Tuesday for a 7:05 p.m. start.

In last years' match, the Crusaders downed the Bulldogs (1-7-0) in heartbreaking fashion, earning a, 2-1, double overtime victory.

The Black and Gold continue their quest for their second win of the season after recording their first victory at Fairfield (Sept. 6). The Crusaders recorded both of their season wins at home against UMass Lowell (Sept. 8) and Saint Peter's (Sept. 11). The Bulldogs fell to UMass Lowell, 2-0, in their latest matchup last Thursday.

Sophomore Haley Reddish (Natick, Mass.) continues to lead the Bulldogs with 17 shots on the season, placing seven on goal. Sophomore Hannah Crofut (East Amherst, N.Y.) and freshman Alex Ralph (Peterborough, Ont.) have each tallied 11 attempts in eight games.

Sophomore keeper Rachel Brightman (Rochester, N.Y.) has started the last four matches for the Bulldogs, logging 23 saves and her first career win against Fairfield.

The Crusaders' attack is led by sophomore Christina Callahan, who has recorded three goals on the season, and junior Courtney Cohen, who has tallied one goal and four assists.

Junior Brooke Holle has started five games in net for the Crusaders, charting 18 saves, while freshman Emma Gurchiek has prevented nine opponent attempts in three starts.
