Bulldogs face Bears Wednesday night in Providence

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – In their last game before the start of conference play, the Bryant University women's soccer team takes on in-state foe Brown University on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs (1-8-0) were defeated, 1-0, in double overtime in their latest match against Holy Cross. The Bears (3-4-1) tied Dartmouth in their most recent contest, which also marked their first conference game of the season.  

A number of Bulldogs still top the list in total points, including sophomore Haley Reddish (Natick, Mass.) (2), who also leads the Black and Gold with 20 total shots.

The Bears' attack is led by senior midfielder Erin Katz, with seven points off three goals and one assist. Freshman goalie Christine Etzel has started seven games in net for the Bears, totaling 43 saves and allowing seven opponent goals.

The Bulldogs have relied on sophomore keeper Rachel Brightman (Rochester, N.Y.) in the last five games. Brightman has logged 32 saves and 14 goals against.
