SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Fresh off a come-from-behind victory against Stetson Friday night, the Bryant University women's soccer team wraps up a mini two-game road swing against Quinnipiac Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the QU Soccer Field.

Series History

This is the sixth all-time meeting between Quinnipiac and Bryant, with the Bobcats taking the last four meetings. The Bulldogs won the first ever meeting back in 2008 by a 1-0 final in Hamden.

Bulldogs Notes and Notables

  • With a win, the Bulldogs will be off to their best four-game start in the program's Division I history.
  • Also with a W on Wednesday, Andy Bigg's club will have won their first three road games for the first time since 2006, when the school was Division II.
  • Freshman Amanda Spitaleri (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) leads all rookies with 7 shots and is tied for fifth in the conference overall at 2.33 shots per game.
  • Freshman Meghan Dalton (West Hartford, Conn.) was named NEC Defensive Player of the Week by the conference Monday. She is one of two goalies in the NEC to have held opponents scoreless.
  • When she scored the game-winner on Friday night, junior Rachel Benz (Stamford, Conn.) put her first shot on frame since her freshman year, a Sept. 30 clash with Brown.

A bit about the Bobcats

  • The Bobcats are playing the second of a three-game homestand at the QU Soccer Field after beating Army West Point on Sunday afternoon 2-0.
  • Quinnipiac's offense has been balanced this season, with four different goal scorers combining for six goals, led by junior Nadya Gill, who has two goals and two assists in the early part of the season.
  • Junior Madison Borowiec has scored in each of the team's wins and classmate Al Pelletier tallied two assists in the season-opener against Holy Cross before firing a goal in the win against Army West Point.
  • In goal, sophomore Olivia Myszewski recorded her fourth career shutout on Sunday against the Black Knights while racking up five saves.
