Series History

  • In a tight series, the Mountaineers hold the edge with four wins to Bryant's three with one draw. In last year's meeting, Haley Reddish (Natick, Mass.) and Claire Bergh (Calgary, Alberta) scored goals and the Bulldogs defense did not allow a shot on goal in a 2-0 win in Emmitsburg, Md.

Bulldogs Notes and Notables

  • Led by Reddish, the Bulldogs have tallied 17 goals this season from 12 different goalscorers.
  • Of the 15 players that have recorded points this season for the Black and Gold, six of them are freshman, led by Arin Smalls (Marlborough, Mass.) who has four.
  • Bryant's defense entered Friday's games with the best goals-against average in the conference at 0.68.
  • Senior Rachel Brightman (Rochester, N.Y.) is on pace to smash her career-low GAA. Currently at 0.55, that mark would be less than a quarter of the 2.27 mark she had as a sophomore.

A bit about the Mountaineers

  • The Mountaineers are coming off a 1-0 loss to Sacred Heart on Friday afternoon, dropping their record to 1-2 in NEC play and 4-8-1 overall.
  • After starting the season hot at 3-1, The Mount has fallen in seven of their last nine matches.
  • Jenna West leads the attack, compiling five goals and three assists on her 2017 stat sheet.
  • In goal, Maggie Baron has started 11 of the 13 games for the Mountaineers this season, recording a 1.51 goals-against average. In three conference matches, Baron has only allowed two goals and stopped 87.5 percent of the shots on her net.
