WOMEN’S SWIMMING RANKS FOURTH AT HAROLD ANDERSON INVITATIONAL; OSTRANDER AND KIDNEY BREAK RECORDS
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's swimming team shattered multiple meet and school records en route to a fourth place finish at the Harold Anderson Invitational this weekend at the University of Rhode Island.

Bryant, who finished with 509 points, registered two first-place titles to go along with multiple top-five finishes. Host Rhode Island took home the title with 837 points while Providence and Maine recorded 635 and 574 points accordingly. Fairfield and Holy Cross rounded out the six-team field with 466 and 309 points, respectively.
Katelyn Kidney (Lynn, Mass.) had a monumental day for the Black and Gold as the freshman broke the school-record with a 2:11 performance in the 200-yard butterfly competition.
Joining Kidney as a top-finisher was Casey Ostrander (Yarmouthport, Mass.) who took both the 200- and 100-yard back stroke competitions with times of 2:05 and 57.11 respectively. The Massachusetts native also recorded a third place time of 24.43 in the 50-yard freestyle event.
Ostrander would break both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke meet records with her performance, ousting her 2009 100-yard performance by nearly two full seconds.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Ostrander, Debever, Kaitlin Buckley (Duxbury, Mass.), and Amy D'Olympia (Mattapoisett, Mass.) put forth a solid performance with a third-place time of 1:40. This lineup would not

be finished as the foursome produced a second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:37.95.
Freshman standout Taylor DeBever (Denver, Colo.) continued her successful rookie campaign, capturing third place in the 200-yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:13. DeBever engineered a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.36 and a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.44.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday Dec. 11 for a home meet with University of Rhode Island.
