Sjoberg, Rokke head to ITAs this week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Senior Linnea Sjoberg (Stockholm, Sweden) and freshman Caterina Luisa Rokke (Oslo, Norway) will represent the Bryant University women's tennis team at the ITA Northeast Regionals this week. The tournament will be hosted by the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

"We are excited to play in Philly. Neither of the girls has been there. Linnea and Caterina are looking forward to playing more doubles, especially with having more time to gel as a team. And I am happy for Linnea to be back in action after last spring's lingering injury."

About the ITA Northeast Regionals

  • The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top men's and women's players across the country. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete across 85 ITA Regional Championships around the country.
  • The Northeast Regionals run from Oct. 18-23 at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bulldog Draws

  • Sjoberg earned a spot in the main draw and will face Binghamton's Samara Eisenberg in the first round.
  • Sjoberg and Rokke will then team up in doubles, facing Rachel Smilansky and Halah Davis in the first round.
