Bulldogs Look For Three in a Row at Binghamton

VESTAL, N.Y.- The Bryant women's volleyball team will look to extend its winning streak this Friday as they travel west to take on Binghamton. The Bulldogs have won two in a row, sweeping both UAlbany and New Hampshire last weekend in Smithfield.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Alysa Wright was named America East Player of the Week on Tuesday, her first weekly honor this season. She hit .534 against the Great Danes and Wildcats, finishing the weekend with 23 total kills, eight blocks, and three aces. Her .312 attack percentage this season is third in the conference.

  • Mia Cergol was named AE Setter of the Week, posting 76 total assists (12.6 per set), five kills, four aces, and a block. She ranks fifth in the conference in assists (427, 5.93 per set).

  • Emma McGovern fell just short of a double-double against New Hampshire, finishing with nine kills, nine digs, and two aces. She totaled 19 kills, 18 digs, and three aces over the weekend.

Scouting the Bearcats

  • Binghamton comes in 11-6 overall and 2-1 in conference. They have swept UNH and NJIT and lost in five sets to UMBC.

  • Player to Watch: Junior outside hitter Tsvetelina Ilieva leads the team and is third in America East with 247.5 total points. She is also the team leader with 205 kills and 25 aces.

  • Bryant is 6-1 all-time against Binghamton, including 3-0 at the Division I level. Their last meeting was a 3-0 Bulldog win in 2019. Caroline Kennedy had eight kills and two blocks in that match.
