Bulldogs prepare for weekend matchups against Bearcats and Highlanders

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's volleyball team will play their final home regular season game of the year this Friday when they take on the Binghamton University Bearcats. The team will then travel to Newark, New Jersey where they will face off against NJIT.

Series History:

  • Following a three set loss earlier this season, Bryant is 6-4 all-time against Binghamton. The Bulldogs will be looking to pick up their first home victory against the Bearcats on Friday

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Carolina Camacho is 10 assists away from 1000 in her career.

  • Aubrey Lapour who ranks 2nd in  the America East in kills, is 10 away from 600 in her career. 

  • Morgan Smith continues to lead the America East with a .320 hitting percentage.

  • Arianna Ugolini's 44 aces this season, ranks 18th in the NCAA and leads the America East.

  • London Hunt is 9th in the conference for blocks this season with 55. 

 

Scouting the Bearcats

  • The Bearcats enter Friday's contest on a two game win streak. Their only conference loss of the season came against UMBC where they fell in three sets.

  • Anna Sprys (104) and Misa Dlouha (94) hold the top two spots in the America East for blocks.

  • Tsvetelina Ilieva, leads the conference with 353 kills this season. She also ranks 4th in aces (Behind Bryant's Arianna Ugolini, Josie Deluga and Carrina Barron)

  • Madison Konopka has posted a team leading 249 digs in 2023. (She ranks 5th in the America East.

  • Lottie Scully leads the Bearcats in assists on the year with 469.
