Bulldogs travel to Baltimore for America East Tournament

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The number four seed Bryant women's volleyball team will travel to Baltimore this weekend to compete against number one seed UMBC in the America East Tournament Semifinal.

Series History:

  • The Bulldogs fell in both of their two regular season matches against the Retrievers. Bryant is now 1-5 against UMBC and has yet to win a set in 2023. They will be looking to pick their first program win against them on the road (Currently 0-2). 

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Aubrey Lapour ended the regular season 2nd in the America East for kills with 379. Ranks 51st nationally.

  • After a career year that saw her reach 1000 career assists Carolina Camacho, finished third in the conference with 616 assists.

  • Josie Deluga, concluded a stellar senior season by leading the America East with 410 digs. 

  • Arianna Ugolini was the conference's leader for service aces (47) and ranked 3rd in kills (375). (47 aces is 28th best in the NCAA)

  • Freshman Brookelyn Talmadge was Bryant's lead blocker in 2023. Her 87 rejections was good for 6th best in the America East.

Scouting the Retrievers

  • Kamari Conteh leads the Retrievers with 267 kills this year.

  • Maden Serin (431) and Aysia Miller (357) both crack the conference Top 10 for assists.

  • Freshman, Hannah Howard has posted a team high 360 digs.

  • Mila Ilieva has been UMBC's best blocker, posting 90 total throughout the season. (3rd best in conference).

  • Mia Bilusic has recorded a Retriever best 28 aces this year.
