Tellier, Lodge lead Bulldogs at CCSU Mini Meet
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Melissa Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass.) finished eighth overall as Bryant University cross country competed at the CCSU Mini Meet in New Britain on Friday afternoon. The meet was a shorter course than normal, as the women typically run in a 5K while the men compete in an 8K.
Both the men and women finished 13th the women out of 21 opponents and the men of 19 schools running. Noah Tellier (North Kingstown, R.I.) was the top finisher on the men's side, completing the 5K course in 15:58.1.
This race also marked the final regular-season meet for the Bulldogs, as the team next competes in the NEC Championships.

MEET NOTES
- Lodge's finish was her fourth time this season finishing in the top 10. She also finished top 10 in the Ted Owen Invitational (third) and the Paul Short Run (10th). The senior has finished 15th or better every race this season.
- Tellier paced the men's side for the third time this season, also leading the way at the Nassaney Invitational as well as the Ted Owen Invitational.
- Ryan Poholek (North Attleboro, Mass.) shaved 30 seconds off of his time in the same event last season. In the 2016 running, Poholek finished 77th with a time of 16:32.6. He finished 52nd this season, sliding up 25 spots.
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs will compete at the NEC Championships on Oct. 28, again in New Britain. The men will run at 11 a.m., while the women will begin at Noon.
