Hall of Fame Class of 2015 welcomes Elizabeth Gunn

This week, Bryant Athletics will be announcing the Hall of Fame Class of 2015. The eight-member class will be announced alphabetically on twitter @BryantAthletics.  We are pleased to welcome former field hockey standout Elizabeth Gunn ‘04 into the Hall of Fame.

A two-time All-America selection, Gunn is the fourth field hockey player to enter the Bryant Athletics Hall of Fame. During her career from 2000 to 2003, Gunn helped lead the program to two Division II NCAA Final Four appearances.  From the moment she stepped onto campus, Gunn made her mark as one of the most prolific goal scorers in the not just the conference, but in the nation as well. The Northeast-10 Freshman of the Year in 2000, Gunn would lead all of Division II with 15 goals during the 2002 season.  She remains second all-time in school history with 44 career goals scored and still ranks in the top-40 in NCAA history.  She is also second all-time in program record books with 97 career points.  A three-time Academic All-America selection by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association, Gunn was named the Bryant Athlete of the Year in 2003.

Gunn joins men’s lacrosse standout David Beirne and contributor Jeff Doppelt on the list of inductees into the hall of fame.
