Warden, Hope Break School Records at New England Championships

BOSTON, MA- The Bryant track and field teams recorded four podium finishes at the NEICAAA New England Championships, highlighted by two new school records from Lois Warden in the pole vault and Jasmin Hope in the long jump. Aidan Hickey, Julia Ayres, and the men's 4x400 relay team also finished top three over the weekend.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Lois Warden's height of 3.65 in the pole vault broke her own school record, which she had set last week at Boston University. She finished third in the event and is third in the conference so far this season.

  • Jasmine Hope hit a distance of 5.52 meters in the long jump, breaking the program record and finishing fourth in the event. It was also the third best mark in the NEC this season.

  • Aidan Hickey ran a 1:54.00 in the 800, good for third place and third overall in the NEC this season. The time was also the fourth best in program history.

  • Julia Ayres came third in the 5000 meters with a time of 18:06.94. It's the second best time in the NEC this season.

  • The men's 4x400 relay team of Jacob Goodman, Andrew Canale, Edward Cardarelli, and William Remkiewicz placed third with a time of 3:19.46. The time is also the third best in the NEC and fourth on Bryant's all-time list.

  • The Bulldogs had three runners finish in the top ten in the 3000 meters. William Bittrich and Ryan Slaney were fourth and sixth on the men's side, and Abby Hamilton finished ninth for the women. All three are in the NEC's top ten this season. Bittrich and Slaney are now second and third on Bryant's all-time list as well.
