SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After taking an early lead on a goal scored by sophomore Alison Melley (Centerville, Mass.), the Bryant University women’s soccer team could not hold on to the lead, falling at Mount St. Mary’s, 2-1, in overtime Friday night in Emmitsburg, Md.

A late first half goal by Cilo Tregar proved to be enough for Central Connecticut as the Bryant University women’s soccer team fell to the Blue Devils, 1-0, on the road Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs impressed on defense but drop to 5-11-2 overall and 3-4-1 in the NEC with the loss.

Playing in windy and cold conditions, the Bryant University women’s soccer team was unable to win its last home game of the season, falling to Quinnipiac, 1-0, on senior day at Bulldog Stadium Friday afternoon. Steph Del Mistro (East Williston, N.Y.) and Sarah Donovan (Storrs, Conn.) were the pair of seniors honored before the Northeast Conference contest.

The Bryant University women’s soccer team (5-9-2, 3-2-1 NEC) opened up 2010 conference play with four-straight shutouts, cruising to a 3-0-1 record to place the Bulldogs near the top of the conference. Though their impressive 424-minute shutout streak ended on Friday in a 2-1 overtime loss at Wagner, the Bulldogs defense has continued to shine, holding the Northeast Conference’s top team in Long Island University to just one goal on Sunday.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Unable to breakthrough the defense for quality scoring chances, the Bryant University women’s soccer team fell to Long Island, 1-0, in a Northeast Conference matchup Sunday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium. With the loss, the Bulldogs dip to 5-9-2 overall and 3-2-1 in the NEC while the Blackbirds improve to 11-1-3 on the season and 4-0-1 in the conference.
