WOMEN’S RUGBY LIGHTS UP 7S TOURNAMENT

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – This past Saturday, February 22nd the Bryant University Women’s Rugby team hosted a 7s tournament and played a total of five games. After a long day, the Bulldogs placed fourth out of the ten teams in the tournament.

TUSCON, A.Z. – During the USA Rugby College 7s National Championship in Tucson, Arizona from May 24-26, 2019, the Bryant University Women’s Rugby team achieved some tremendous accomplishments. Throughout this three-day tournament, the Bulldogs faced five of the best Women’s Rugby teams in the country and were able to triumph and leave as USA Rugby DII College 7s National Champions.

WATERVILLE, ME. – In a battle of the two undefeated teams remaining in the Rugby Northeast Conference the Bryant Bulldogs traveled to Waterville, ME to take on the Mules of Colby College. Both teams came into Saturday with a 5-0 record in conference play and the final regular season game for both squads, will a conference championship on the line.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Bryant University Women’s Rugby team returned for the 2019-2020 season after winning the Division 2 7s National Championship in Tucson, Arizona in May. This past weekend, they kicked off the new school year by traveling to face Roger Williams University in their first match since May.

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – This past weekend, the Bryant University Woman’s Rugby Team traveled a short distance to the Beast of the East Rugby Tournament to compete against other teams from New England. The Bulldogs competed in five matches total throughout the weekend and remained undefeated the entire time.
